Combine passion, attitude and a bolster of pure talent and you get R&B /Pop Princess, Zewdy. ThisEthiopian/Eritrean young talent flooded YouTube.comwith over 100 cover songs and reached over 1 million views, capturing the attention of listeners all over the world. Delivering a sound similar to that of hit sensations, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Jasmine Sullivan, and Christina Aguilera, Zewdy offers an energy long absent from the industry's talent pool.

     Born in New York City and raised in Union, New Jersey, Zewdy sharpened her talent on a Karaoke machine purchased by her singer/song writer father, Habte Awalom, a long-time veteran musician in the states. The young pop princess would utilize school musicals and random singingcompetitions as a medium to express her vocal talent,where she attracted a lot of attention, eventually being asked to frequently sing at several reputable events, including the National Anthem at the reinstatement ceremonies of her town’s mayors. Other notable performances and competitions are: two-time finalist in the WOR tri-state plus Pennsylvania talent search, twice winner of the  Top of the Micsinging competitions in Roselle, NJ, SOB in NYC, Live-Pod in Philly, Bronx Day Festival and two fundraising events in Wash, DC.

     In an effort to reach more with her incredible talent, in 2007 Zewdy began posting video blogs and cover performances of hits like Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance", Jazmine Sullivan's "I need you bad" and Amy Winehouse's "Rehab". Quickly stretching her fan base anywhere from New York to Germany, little girls everywhere have fallen in love with Zewdy's pure talent and impeccable charm. Offers to sign started to flow from all over the world. The R&B/Pop sensation is currently signed to En-Treeg Records, LLC(Atlanta based label) and spinning off her first debutsingle “I Don’t Want To Wait”……tribute to the legency of Bob Marley while working on her first album.
